H2S and H2O concentration monitoring at natural gas plants
- A transportable WaSul-Ex instrument for single channel H2S and H2O concentration monitoring. Currently in operation at the natural gas plant of Mol Plc. (Hungarian Oil and Gas Company) nearby Barcs (southwest Hungary). Earlier this instrument was operated at the Százhalombatta refinery.
- A four-channel WaSul-Ex instrument for measuring H2S and H2O concentration simultaneously in four different gas streams. In operation at the natural gas plant of Mol Plc. at Algyő (southeast of Hungary) since 2004.
- A dual channel WaSul-Ex instrument for H2S concentration monitoring. In operation at the natural gas plant of Mol Plc. at Üllés (southeast of Hungary). Trouble free operation since 2002.
Atmospheric humidity and/or total water concentration
- Within the CARIBIC project a dual channel WaSul-Hygro instrument has been operating on-board of a commercial aircraft (Airbus A340-600 of Lufthansa) since May 2005. It measures atmospheric humidity and/or total water concentration over wide dynamic ranges with a fast response time and with high accuracy.
Water concentration measurement in glycol
- A WaSul-Liquid instrument has been operating at the natural gas plant of Kéleshalom since 2006. Besides measuring the water concentration in glycol used for natural gas dehydration, it also measures in parallel the water vapor (H2O) content of instrument air.
Biogas monitoring
- A WaSul-Bio instrument operates at an experimental reactor of Mol Plc. and measures continuously the concentration of side products (i.e. methane, water vapor (H2O), carbon-dioxide, carbon-monoxide and heavier hydrocarbons) of a hydrogenation reaction in hydrogen carrier gas stream since 2007.
Water vapor (H2O) concentration measurements
- A dual channel WaSul-Hygro instrument has been operating at the Research and Development Centre of Knorr-Bremse AG since 2008, where it measures water vapor (H2O) concentration in compressed air before and after a compressed air drying unit.
- A dual channel WaSul-Hygro instrument operates at the Institute for Meteorology and Climate Research - Atmospheric Aerosol Research (IMK-AAF) of the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH.
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of atmospheric aerosols
- A four wavelength WaSul-MuWaPas instrument has been operating at the atmospheric simulation chamber (AIDA), Research Centre Kalsruhe,(Germany, 2005).
- With a four wavelength WaSul-MuWaPas instrument a successful field test was carried out at the Joint Research Centre of the EU (Ispra, Italy, 2008).
Ammonia concentration and flux measurements
- Within the NitroEurope (EU-FP6) project a WaSul-Flux instrument is in operation at a field site (Bugac, Hungary), since July 2008, where it measures ammonia concentration at three different heights above the ground, for ammonia flux calculation.
- A WaSul-Flux instrument participated in a one-week flux measurement campaign on an agricultural field near Turew (Poland) in autumn 2008, where it was used to quantify ammonia deposition from the nearby cattle farm.
- Ammonia concentration was measured above forest canopy near Kerecsend (northern Hungary). The WaSul-Flux instrument was operated by sun batteries during the campaign.
- A WaSul-Flux instrument participated successfully in a field inter-comparison campaign of ten different ammonia concentration monitoring instruments near Edinburgh (Scotland) within the framework of the NitroEurope project.
